The biggest game in America is back.

Throw in that it’s a fascinating rematch of the Super Bowl from just two years ago, and SB LIX could be another instant classic for the ages.

The second after Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Kansas City won the last Super Bowl, the countdown began to LIX in New Orleans.

After 17 regular-season games and three playoffs rounds, only Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts and the revenge-seeking Philadelphia Eagles can prevent the Chiefs from pulling off the first Super Bowl trophy three-peat in NFL history.

Here is talkSPORT’s detailed look at who has the edge in Super Bowl LIX, and how both teams can carve a path to becoming world champions in 2025.

Quarterback

Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes

Eagles: Jalen Hurts

This is Kansas City’s main advantage in the Superdome.

Which means that if the Eagles unleash Hurts like they did in the NFC Championship, the Chiefs could lose their second Super Bowl of the Mahomes-era.

Mahomes is the better passer and a fourth-quarter magician.

Hurts is a modern dual threat looking for Super Bowl revenge.

If Hurts can keep Kansas City’s secondary honest by regularly connecting with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley should be staring at a lot of open field on February 9.

Still, Mahomes is the king until someone takes his crown.

Edge: Chiefs

Running back

Chiefs: Kareem Hunt

Eagles: Saquon Barkley

In a different era, Barkley would have easily won the NFL MVP.

He’s a modern throwback and has been unstoppable in the playoffs.

Three games, 442 yards and five rushing touchdowns — those are video-game numbers.

The Chiefs do it by committee in the backfield, and it doesn’t always work.

Slowing down Barkley for four quarters is pivotal for a Kansas City three-peat.

The best running back in the league is always one play away from another 60-yard TD.

Edge: Eagles

Offensive line

There’s a reason that Barkley has rushed for 2,447 total yards this season and is set to eclipse Terrell Davis’ all-time mark in the Super Bowl.

Barkley, who left the New York Giants in the distant past, now runs behind the best offensive line in the sport.

The Eagles lost Jason Kelce and can still move mountains.

Philly also has the infamous Tush Push down to a science.

Mahomes is often in trouble and forced to bounce around the pocket.

The Chiefs’ offensive line will be a weak spot in the Superdome.

Edge: Eagles

Defensive line

Speaking of Mahomes being in trouble and bouncing around the pocket …

Jalen Carter has become a one-man wrecking crew.

After watching Matthew Stafford and Jayden Daniels deal with constant pressure, Philly’s greatest strength not named Barkley is a D-line that doesn’t relent.

Chris Jones and Co. can be a difference maker by limiting Hurts’ ability to throw downfield.

But just watch Tampa Bay taking down Mahomes in Super Bowl LV to see how a real defense can impact a world championship.

Offense

Travis Kelce and a ton of OK receivers might not be enough this time.

There will be nothing surprising if a 35-year-old Kelce wins the Super Bowl MVP, gets engaged to Taylor Swift as confetti falls, and then walks off into the Hollywood sunset.

But DeAndre Hopkins has barely made a dent in the playoffs, while rookie Xavier Worthy is suddenly the Chiefs’ best wide receiver.

The Eagles have the best offensive line, running back and receiver corps in this big game.

Mahomes must be absolutely brilliant to give Kansas City an offensive advantage in New Orleans.

Edge: Eagles

Xavier Worthy must play like a No. 1 receiver for the Chiefs to win

Defense

Vic Fangio vs Steve Spagnuolo is a heavyweight matchup.

The winner will win the Super Bowl.

Spagnuolo deserves to be a head coach again and he’s been bailing out the Chiefs for years.

Fangio is one of the best defensive minds in the game and knows how to carve up an offense for 60 minutes.

Edge: Eagles

Head coach

Chiefs:Andy Reid

Eagles: Nick Sirianni

Kansas City has two real advantages in Super Bowl LIX.

One is the QB heir to Tom Brady.

The other is a sideline genius who’s replaced Bill Belichick as the best coach in the NFL.

Sirianni has game-changing potential – in a bad way.

Reid is rarely outcoached and has trademarked offensive creativity.

The Chiefs also play their butts off for Big Red, especially in the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl prediction

The Chiefs have been lucky and fortunate all season.

They’ve also received a few favorable calls, while collecting a series of unbelievable late-game wins.

There will be nothing shocking about the Chiefs becoming the first team in NFL history to achieve a Super Bowl three-peat.

From 2018-25, all the Chiefs have done is win, win and win on their way to the NFL’s newest dynasty.

But the Eagles have advantages across the field and are still seeking revenge from Super Bowl LVII.

It’s time for Hurts to get a new photo on his phone.

Score: Eagles 28, Chiefs 27
