Taylor Swift has an open invite to attend the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade.
After a conflicting report that Swift was too big for Kansas City and had been warned away from the Chiefs’ championship parade on Wednesday, the city’s mayor took to social media to hit back at the fake news.

“Not true at all,” tweeted Quinton Lucas, Kansas City mayor. “Just had a great chat with Kansas City police chief. We’re enchanted to welcome everyone to tomorrow’s parade and the women and men of our police department are prepared to keep all safe. We’ll have a great championship celebration for our Chiefs!”
Kansas City city manager Brian Platt told KCUR that a potential appearance by Swift was expected to push more people to attend the parade, with some fans lining up on Tuesday night to get closer to the front.
“That’s gonna be a whole second level of security issues that we have to deal with — the crowds and all that sort of thing,” Platt said. “So we are more than ready. We have no concerns with our safety protocols and what we’re doing to make sure that the route will be free of any issues.”
According to KCUR, Platt teased that city officials had already told Swift’s team her presence at the parade might be too much for the city’s security to handle.
“I can’t confirm or deny but we might have already told that to her team, just to keep everybody safe and make things a little bit easier for us,” Platt said.
Swift spent the 2023 NFL season following the Chiefs around the country.
When Kansas City won the AFC Championship, the pop superstar was on the field to celebrate with boyfriend and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
And when the Chiefs rallied to overcome the San Francisco 49ers in overtime and win Super Bowl LVIII, Swift gave Kelce a big kiss for the world to see.

With the Chiefs winning back-to-back world championships and creating a new NFL dynasty, Kansas City fans are expected to pack the city to revel in their team’s huge success.
“While city offices are closed tomorrow, over 1,000 city workers from Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks, Aviation, Water and more will be working to keep things clean, safe, and easy to navigate before, during, and after the festivities,” Lucas tweeted. “Come out with kindness! See you soon.”
On Wednesday morning, the mayor welcomed Chiefs fans to a parade that could include Swift.
“Good morning,” Lucas posted. “Time to head to the Chiefs parade. See you there!”
