Patrick Mahomes is truly a man of the people.
The three-time NFL Super Bowl champion takes pride in his famous “Dad Bod,” while Mahomes loves to promote Kansas City sports and isn’t afraid to make fun of himself.

That was the case again when the Chiefs superstar participated in a revealing interview with Complex Sports.
Mahomes praised Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, let the world know that he’s just 15 hours short of graduating from Texas Tech, and knows that everyone makes fun of his unique Kermit the Frog-type voice.
“Jeez,” Mahomes said. “I’ve heard a lot of things about the voice.”
But two big reveals said the most about Mahomes as a person and world-class competitor.
First, the three-time Super Bowl MVP read a tweet about him “being so drunk that he gave some random the Vince Lombardi trophy.”
That appeared to be the case in 2023, when Mahomes — wearing a custom-made WWE championship belt and ski-goggles — seemingly chugged so many beers that he forgot where he was and gave away the most precious trophy in American sports.
Looks were deceiving, though, and Mahomes was smarter than he appeared on that day.
“To sure up the story, that was a replica trophy,” Mahomes said. “I’m not that dumb just to hand the trophy to the middle of a crowd.”

Beer was also involved in another hilarious Mahomes tweet.
He’s a big baseball, soccer and basketball fan, regularly posting about other sports that he loves.
But Mahomes really brings it on the golf course.
In 2023, he teamed up with Kelce versus Golden State Warriors teammates Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson in “The Match.”
A year earlier, Mahomes and Buffalo QB Josh Allen fell to Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers.
The Chiefs leader had a rough start in that match and cracked open a couple cold ones to try and find his groove on the greens.
“A Coors Light after getting buried the first two holes is the most relatable thing ever,” a fan tweeted.
“That’s what you’ve got to do,” Mahomes said. “Plus, had a little bit of the nerves going.
“You drink a couple Coors Lights to settle yourself down and go out there and dominate on the golf course.
“It helps my golf game out. But there’s been times when I get to about 15, 16 in the hole and the golf game falls downhill.”
That makes Mahomes even more relateable.
It’s no wonder that he’s so well loved by NFL fans across the globe.
And now everyone knows that the reigning Super Bowl MVP didn’t really give away the Lombardi Trophy in 2023.
